QuickTime is a digital video format developed and distributed by Apple Computer, Inc. ClearVideo is a fractal-imaging based video codec by Iterated Systems, Inc. designed to compress digital video files to very low data rates so that they may be viewed over low-bandwidth network connections that are common to the world wide web. RealAudio is a streaming audio format developed by Progressive Networks, Inc. and allows the client to listen to audio playback in the background on a web page.
