Step 1	Double click on the "Global Chat Icon"
Step 2	Click on "More Details" The window will expand.
Step 3	Enter a nickname. This will be your "name" during the chat.
Step 4	For "Connection label" enter webcast. For "Server Name or IP" enter chat.webcast.gatech.edu. For "Port number" enter 6667. For "Initial Channel" enter #public. Leave "Channel Password" blank. The rest of the information is optional.
Step 5	Click on "Save and Connect." Be patient - it will take a few seconds for the window to appear.
Step 6	The Global Chat window will open. The discussion will appear in the main window and you can enter, in the Send box, your commentary.
Note	If you wish to have a particular person's text bolded, select their name and click on the Bold button. If you want to undo this process, just click on the button again (it is a toggle button). If you wish to ignore a person's commentary, click on the Ignore button. Their text will be omitted from your screen.
Note	If you wish to send a comment to a specific person, click on the to button and hilight a name. To send to everyone, click on the to everybody button.
Note	You can join other discussion groups by going to the menu at the top of the screen, pulling down the Channels menu and selecting a group. Do not choose any of the groups beginning with an ampersand.
